Alright. . . this may be the moment it all begins. I've spent the last 18 years living a student/temporary/this is just an apartment not my real home . . . life. Except for the 3 years we owned a town home in Utah--we've been renting or somehow temporary. Wait--did I just give away my age--well I guess if you take 18 from 29 then I started college at 11. Ok, yeah. Whatever works with my 29-and-holding philosophy. ;p
Back to the point and the homework assignment. After painting this awesome buffet blue I knew I had my inspiration to start decorating my OWN home. Yeah, I know, the whole I don't decorate thing. Well, maybe I'm ready.
FYI--some of the things in these photos are staged--I'm an experienced enough mom to know it would take about 4.2 seconds for my kiddos to knock over that plant on the teeny-weeny plant stand next to a traffic lane.
Back to the point--again. I painted my own buffet in my inspiration color--Blue. LOVE blue and brown together, with accents of orange.
But--I'm not the best decorator in the world. Or even Spokane. Or even ____ street. So Help--I love all these things, but I think I need some serious "editing". So please, play decorator with my dining room wall. What works, what would you . . .
change/move/hide in a deep, dark, hole.
